Sandford is a London-based communications agency working on global strategic media relations and social media campaigns across the design, architecture, interiors, luxury and lifestyle sectors. Boutique in size but not in our approach, we offer the expertise of an in-house team coupled with the resources and know-how of a full-fledged agency.
We are passionate storytellers, helping businesses grow their profile with creative impactful campaigns, intelligent thinking and a bespoke, considered approach to all aspects of communication. Generating awareness and developing the stories behind the brands, products and services to tell the right audiences in the most inspiring way is what we do.
Our dedicated social media team Sandford Social bring clients’ channels to life with smart campaign ideas, influencer engagement, workshops and community management, offering clients the very latest social media management skills with which to navigate the constantly evolving digital landscape.
When we need to, we access a closely linked network of experts and likeminded practitioners for the big-picture thinking – from copywriting, branding, website design, SEO, marketing, photographers, and stylists – to collaborate with.

London-based Katherine Sandford-Anderson formed Sandford PR in 2010 with Sandford Social launching in 2017. She is a strategic, creative, Design and Architecture PR and Social Media Manager with over 20 years of experience in both agency and in-house PR roles.
Katherine also undertakes a number of industry talks and lecture roles, including teaching short courses for the KLC School of Design on Branding, PR and Social Media for Interior Designers.
Prior to this, Katherine spent ten years working at Camron PR, where she honed her experience in home, lifestyle and interiors, art and exhibitions, retail and luxury sectors. Katherine also has first hand client-side experience from her time in-house at Designers Guild and more recently for Barber & Osgerby.
Head of Sandford Social
Christina has worked as a Digital Project Manager and Project Director for 10 years with experience running large multinational campaigns and accounts in digital advertising agencies including McCann Erickson, MRM Worldwide, Digitas London and Publicis Worldwide.
Christina heads up the Sandford Social team, developing digital strategies for a range of clients that align to wider business objectives.
She also works in the role of Community Management for several clients, successfully managing social media accounts on a day to day basis across multiple platforms and runs workshops for those that do not require ongoing social media support.
Senior PR Consultant
Melissa is a PR and marketing communications specialist with more than 20 years of professional publicity and consultancy experience having worked across the property, corporate, art, design, fashion and travel sectors. She has worked for agencies and in-house and for the past ten years has acted as an independent PR consultant for a wide range of niche brands and well-known names such as Harrods, Knight Frank and The Crafts Council as well as heading up the PR department for The Conran Shop for over four years.
Having built up an unparalleled network of editors, writers, publishers, creatives and curators, Melissa has a common sense, results driven approach matchmaking stories with the right storytellers and specialising in feature length coverage.
Prior to independent consultancy, Melissa was global head of PR for the business services firm PKF, head of marketing at the UK’s third largest FTSE 100 Property company, MEPC and associate director at property marketing specialist, Halogen with clients including Land Securities, F&C and Savills.
Senior International PR Consultant
Cristina moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2009 after living in London for ten years. Whilst in London she specialised in global communications for the luxury market working with design, architecture, real estate and lifestyle clients at Camron and as an in-house PR consultant for some important architectural clients such as Richard Rogers, John McAslan, NBBJ, RTKL and Broadway Malyan.
Since then Cristina has carved a niche as an incredibly well connected international PR and has worked closely with Katherine delivering global campaigns for Sandford PR’s clients since inception. She has built strong long-lasting relationships with the most influential international design and architecture journalists.
Social Media Manager
Lucy has spent the last ten years working in the interiors and design industry. She started her career in the publishing world styling pages for Wallpaper* and House & Garden before moving into PR.
She worked in-house for furniture and interior designer Faye Toogood and more recently for the renowned British furniture designers Barber & Osgerby, their architecture branch Universal Design Studio and industrial design studio MAP.
Lucy is a fully qualified Social Media Manager working with Sandford Social’s clients to develop and implement integrated Social Media strategies across multiple channels and client accounts.
