BACKGROUND
Founded in 1992 by Steve and Christina Roberts in the heart of North Devon, Turnstyle Designs is a global leader in creating high-quality, design-led hardware. Turnstyle makes each piece by hand; their skilled craftspeople combine precision engineering and traditional artisan techniques. The core range contains over 20,000 unique combinations, and the option to create completely unique bespoke designs ensures they can tailor their product to suit each project specification.
Continually striving to be a responsible business and giving back to the local community has always been at the heart of the company ethos. Based in the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere, Turnstyle Designs is proud to be a member of 1% for the Planet, and more recently a Certified B Corporation.
Despite strong awareness within certain sectors, we needed to boost the brand profile in the media and encourage opportunities for new lead generation. We also sought to introduce Oscar Roberts, MD at Turnstyle Designs, opening up opportunities for thought leadership and expert comment placement in print and digital media, and maximising on both sector-specific and broader knowledge, particularly following their announcement of B Corp certification.
OUR SOLUTION
Sandford created in-depth PR and digital proposals, including a recap of user personas and a competitor audit. These documents provided strategy ideas and key focuses to align with overarching business aims.
PR KPIs included cementing the brand’s reputation for high-quality designs and building awareness of the bespoke offering, to position Oscar as an expert within the industry, introducing Wayne Dymond as Sales & Marketing Director, and to utilise available case study imagery (amongst other key goals).
Within our digital strategy, we set out to elevate the brand’s online presence with a detailed organic Pinterest strategy, content calendar suggestions for building Oscar and Wayne’s personal LinkedIn profiles, and campaign-specific ideation for Instagram.
